Ajaccio Port in Corsica is situated on the west coast of the island. The port is nestled in a pretty palm fringed bay filled with yachts and surrounded by colourful houses. There are two ferry companies, Corsica Ferries and SNCM, that provide regular services to and from Ajaccio ferry port.

The ferry port is located close to Ajaccio town centre and is well connected to the road network of Corsica. Passengers arriving at the port by car should follow the signs from Griffi Square as they approach from the Cours Napoleon. The rail station is not far from the port and train connections go to all parts of the island.

In the ferry terminal at Ajaccio Port there is a small convenience store and a café offering light meals, snacks and drinks. Toilet facilities are available including those with disabled access. Many local shops, restaurants and bars can be found in the town and are within easy walking distance.

Corsica Ferries and SNCM are the only two ferry operators sailing in and out of Ajaccio Port. Corsica Ferries provide regular services to Nice and Toulon while SNCM offers frequent sailings from Ajaccio to Marseille and Porto Torres in addition to Nice and Toulon.

Both ferry companies have fleets of ships that feature modern amenities that ensure passengers enjoy a comfortable journey. Standard facilities include shops selling perfume, tobacco products, cosmetics and alcohol, restaurants, cafés, bars and self-service cafeterias. Different sized cabins are available in a number of sized and help passengers to arrive at their destinations fully refreshed. Some ferries boast swimming pools with areas on deck for sun-bathing.

Ferry crossings to France and Sardinia from Ajaccio Port make this a popular town. Passengers with time to explore will find a charming centre with some good places to eat and shop. Attractions include Ajaccio Cathedral the house that Napoleon Bonaparte was born in.
