Anek Lines Ferries operate ferries from Italy and mainland Greece to several of the Greek Islands. The company has been operating for 40 years and has a fleet of ten modern vessels.

There are daily sailings from Piraeus on the Greek mainland to Chania and Heraklion in Crete. The journey time is approximately 8 hours 30 minutes. During the busy summer months, there are additional ferries from Piraeus to Chania. Regular ferry services also operate between Patras in Greece to Ancona in Italy. This service makes an additional stop in Corfu between June and September.

The luxury ferry F/B Elyros is the flagship of Anek Lines Ferries. This ferry operates between mainland Greece and Crete and can carry upto 2000 passengers. It has been designed with passengers comfort in mind. F/B Sophocles, which can carry 1500 passengers and 1100 cars, offers the following facilities: a bar and café, a self service restaurant. Other amenities available onboard include a swimming pool, TV and video and a disco.

The Olympic Champion and Hellenic Spirit offer the fastest ferry crossings reaching speeds up to 32 knots as it crosses the Adriatic Sea between Igoumentitsa in Greece and Ancona in Italy. The journey time is only 15 hours. It can carry 1100 vehicles and 1850 passengers.

The passenger ferry Eleftherios Venizelos is the largest ferry operating in the Mediterranean. There are 12 decks onboard and it can carry as many as 2,500 passengers and up to 1,100 vehicles.

The ferry Lefka Ori can accommodate 1,500 passengers and 1,100 vehicles. There is a self-service food centre, restaurant, café and bar onboard. You can dance the night away in the onboard disco, or play video games or watch TV in the lounge. There is a swimming pool and a safe area for children to play and also a duty free shop. The Kriti I and II, Prevelis and Lissos ferries also offer similar facilities and amenities onboard as the Lefka Ori.
