Bari Port in the South-East of Italy has long been Italy’s gateway to the Middle East and the Balkans. The port at Bari is made up of two harbours known as the New Port and the Old Port. There are seven ferry companies using Bari Port making regular crossings to several destinations.
Bari Port has excellent road and rail connections with the rest of Italy. Most major towns can be reached via the A14 motorway and the A16 motorway links Bari to Naples. The railway station, Stazione Centrale (Central Station), is only 2kms from the port and buses and taxis are available.

Ferry companies operating from Bari Port are: Superfast Ferries with crossings to Igoumenitsa and Patras; Ventouris Ferries with crossings to Corfu and Igoumenitsa; Venezia Lines with a fast day crossing to Durres; Tirrenia Ferries with an overnight crossing to Durres; Agoudimos Lines with crossings to Cefalonia, Patras and Igoumenitsa; European Seaways with crossings to Durres; Azzurra Line with crossings to Durres, Kotor, Dubrovnik and Bar.
Service and comfort levels vary between ferry companies but all ships are equipped with comfortable passenger lounges and seating. Cabins are available in various sizes and come with showers. A range of dining options is available offering hot and cold drinks and food. Onboard shops stock a good choice of essential items and gifts.
Bari Port’s second harbour is used exclusively for pleasure craft and fishing boats making it a pleasant place to spend a few hours. Ferry passengers will find the town has a warm climate all year round that is ideal for discovering the range of interesting places to see.
