Blue Star Ferries operate passenger and car ferry services in the Aegean and the Adriatic. They offer regular sailings from the Greek mainland to Italy and all around the Greek Islands.
There are eight ferries in Blue Star fleet and all of them are non-smoking vessels, however a small smoking area is available on open deck. on There are two sister ships, named Blue Star 1 and Blue Star 2. Both of these ferries can accommodate upto 850 vehicles and 1600 passengers. Onboard the ferry there is a bar and night club; a choice of restaurants, a small gift shop and a play area for children.
The largest ferry is the Superferry II. This can carry upto 1832 passengers onboard and 260 cars. Facilities on board are similar to the smaller Blue Star Ithaki ferry. The ferries are fully air-conditioned, offer dining facilities and a bar on deck. The smallest ferry in the fleet is the Seajet 2 which holds 386 passengers.
The Blue Star Paros and Naxos only ferry cars and passengers from the Greek mainland to the islands. Both ferries are air-conditioned throughout and offer the same facilities. There is a self-service restaurant, a coffee shop and a small gift shop and a bar on deck.Journeys are usually very short, so there is no need for extenive facilities; however no passenger goes without anything and taking a ferry has become one of the most popular ways to travel around the area.
There are daily ferry services from Ancona, Brindisi or Venice in Italy to Igoumenitsa, Patras and Corfu in Greece. There are also several daily ferry services around the Greek islands.There are short hops or longer journeys available; the choice is yours.
