Venice boasts a busy ferry terminal, known to locals as ‘Passeggeri’. This terminal is strategically located at the Ponte della Liberta, which is connected to mainland Venice by a number of canals and bridges. Passengers are allowed easy access to the town centre from the ferry port. With over 117 islands, the city of Venice is separated by nearly 177 canals with the most famous of them all, the Grand Canal.
