Corsica Ferries offer ferry crossings between Corsica and Sardinia from France and Italy. There are fourteen vessels, both conventional and express ferries currently in Corsica Ferries fleet.There are daily ferry sailings to the islands throughout the year.
In 2008, Corsica Ferries introduced its new flagship to its fleet, Mega Smeralda. This luxury ferry can carry 2000 passengers and 560 cars. There are 539 cabins onboard. Other facilities include a swimming pool, a cinema showing up to date movies, a playroom for children, a disco and a choice of restaurants and bars.
The Mega Express is an express ferry during the day and a cruise ferry in the evening. It has a sailing speed of 29 knots which is considerably faster than a conventional ferry and offers a wide range of passenger comforts. The ship can accommodate 1756 passengers and upto 550 vehicles. There are 300 ensuite cabins, a swimming pool, a great choice of dining options and bars onboard.
The Corsica and Sardinia Express ferries both have a restaurant serving light meals and refreshments. There are also a number of small shops onboard the ferries selling items of jewellery, perfumes, travel bags, designer sunglasses and other brand name products available at duty free prices.
There is a luxury gourmet restaurant on board the Corsica Victoria, Sardinia Nova and Sardinia Regina ferries. The restaurants are all members of the ChaƮne des Rotisseurs, which means the international cuisine on offer is of the highest quality and the chefs are highly trained professionals. There is also a self-service restaurant available on all the Corsica Ferries which also offer tasty meals but without the price tag.
The ferry routes that are currently operating are between Livorno and Bastia ; Savona and Bastia ; Savona and Calvi ; Savona and Ile Rousse ; Toulon and Ajacco ; Nice and Calvi ; Nice and Bastia and Livorno and Golfo Aranci.
