Esbjerg Ferry Port is located on the western coast of Denmark in the North Sea. Within the ferry terminal building, there are two cafés selling light meals and refreshments, a passenger’s lounge and a newsagent. Short and long term car parking is available near the Esbjerg terminal, with designated parking spaces for disabled drivers.

For disabled passengers, everywhere inside the ferry terminal is easily accessible for those in wheelchairs. For passengers requiring special assistance at either the ferry terminal or on board should inform staff at time of booking.

DFDS Seaways operate three sailings per week from Esbjerg Port to Harwich in the UK. The journey time is 18 hours, 15 minutes. Onboard the DFDS ferries, there are a choice of cabins, a selection of dining options and a play area for children. There is also a weekly service from Esbjerg Port to Torshavn with Symril Lines which takes 38 hours.

From Esbjerg Port, it is easy to travel to other destinations in Denmark or mainland Europe as there are excellent bus, rail and road links. Bus and coaches are available through Danish bus company Rutebilstationen which operates both city and regional buses.

The transport centre in Esbjerg offers a superb rail service, linking Esbjerg with other cities in Denmark. For those driving to the port, take the access road to the Port from the E20 motorway. Billund Airport is situated 60kms from Esbjerg Port.

For people who are interested in staying in Esbjerg, the city is a short taxi ride away or a twenty minute walk. The city of Esbjerg has some good beaches, many cafés, bars and restaurants. There are also many museums and parks to explore. During the summer months, you can take a Harbour Sightseeing Tour of the busy port and harbour of Esbjerg.
