Fishguard Port is located in Goodwick, a small town just to the west of Fishguard Town in Wales. There are four daily ferry services in operation from Fishguard to Rosslare in Ireland with Stena Line. Ferry services do not operate on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
The ferry terminal at Fishguard Port is managed by Stena Line. Inside the ferry terminal, there is a buffet bar serving light meals and refreshments and a bar. For people travelling with disabilities, there are specially-adapted toilets and wheelchair access to all areas within the ferry terminal. There are short and long term car parks available at the port.
Stena Line’s Superferry makes two ferry crossings per day to Rosslare. The journey time takes 3 hours, 30 minutes. The slightly more expensive Stena Express also makes two ferry crossings per day to Rosslare with a journey time of just two hours. Both the Superferry and the Stena Express are designed to carry passengers and cars and offer a range of dining options and shops.
Fishguard Port is easily accessible by buses and trains. There are buses to meet the daily ferries into the port which will transfer people into Fishguard town. The National Express Bus Company also operates a regular bus service to the port. The train station is situated next door to the Stena Line passenger terminal. For those driving to the port, Fishguard is situated where the A487 from Cardigan meets the A40. Once in Fishguard, the port is clearly signposted.
Fishguard town is a great place to stay for those who are interested in visiting the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It is possible to book accommodation in Fishguard at the ferry terminal. There is a good selection of hotels and gust houses to choose from.
