The route from Fishguard to Rosslare is one of the journeys across the watery ditch between Great Britain and Ireland. Fishguard, located on the western coast of Wales, has been operating this well-worn route for many years. The Fishguard Port Terminal includes a number of facilities for the convenience of outgoing and incoming passengers.

The company handling ferry services is the highly regarded Stena Line Ferries, which makes several daily crossings to Rosslare on two different vessels. The Konigen Beatrix Superferry takes two round-trip crossings each day, stealing about 3 hours, 30 minutes of time to complete one journey across, and has a capacity of 1,800 passengers and 540 cars.

The Konigen Beatrix offers passengers a wide range of services to help make the three hour journey seem as swift and enjoyable as possible. Some of the services include over 500 spaciously designed ferry cabins, two delightful bars perfect to de-stress and unwind, and two restaurants with a variety of choices on offer.

Another vessel in the Stena Line fleet is the Stena Lynx III. Being the more modern of the two ferries, the Stena Lynx III travels much faster than the Konigen Beatrix, taking just under two hours to sail from Fishguard to Rosslare. The Stena Lynx III departs from Fishguard twice daily, and can accommodate just over 600 passengers, 120 cars, and 10 coach buses.

Both Stena Line ferries and the terminals of Fishguard and Rosslare also accommodate passengers with special needs. Restrooms and toilets are fitted with disable-facilities, ramp access is available, and the ferries are equipped with custom designed cabins. It is important to note that prior booking is required for these cabins.

The port of Rosslare consists of a modern designed terminal. Some of the facilities inside the terminal include shops, a café, restrooms, and a variety of convenient transport options. The port is also in close proximity to the centre of town, taking about a quarter of an hour by foot.
