The port of Golfo Aranci in Northern Sardinia is the gateway to the Costa Smeralda and the delightful region of the Gulf of Obia. There are regular passenger and car ferries from Livorno, Civitavecchia and Naples in mainland Italy to this popular tourist area in Sardinia.

From Golfo Aranci Port, it is easy to explore Sardinia by train or bus. FS, the Italian State Railways, have an extensive train network from Golfo Aranci to many towns and villages on Sardinia. The Sardinian bus company, the ARST also operate many bus routes around the island from Golfo Aranci Port.
For visitors to Sardinia who bring their own car, maps are available at the ferry terminal and roads are clearly signposted.
