Crete is Greece’s largest island and boasts over 1,000 kilometres of stunning coastline with innumerable lovely beaches. Heraklion Port is linked to Crete’s two principal roads: the north coast’s east-west road and the Heraklion Timbaki Highway. The latter runs from Heraklion to Crete’s southern coast. Passengers boarding the Heraklion to Skiathos ferry are provided easy access to Heraklion Port by these roads and also by the regular Cretan intercity buses.
