The route is also operated by Super Seacat Fast Ferries, whose ferries take around 3 hours, 45 minutes, twice daily, and also by Merchant Ferries Cruise Ferry, who sail twice a day, except on Sundays and Mondays, when there is one, and take approximately seven hours to reach Dublin from Liverpool.
On the overnight ferry, there are a selection of cabins to sleep in. And passengers on either the day or night passage, can enjoy a selection of entertainments and other facilities. There are restaurants to suit a diverse range of tastes, cafés to relax with a beverage and a snack during the day, lounge areas to watch the sea outside, a video lounge, children’s play areas, games machines, shops and bars.
There is no lift into the ferry’s passenger area, it is all accessible by stairs, so it may be difficult for children, the elderly and disabled passengers to get in and out, though all the assistance you require will happily be given by the trained ferry staff.
If you are taking a pet with you, be sure to make a booking for it to stay in the animal kennels. There is a small extra charge for this service, depending on the size of the enclosure needed. Pets are not allowed in the public areas, unless it is a guide dog.
