The town of Livorno, Italy, is connected to Olbia, on the isle of Sicily by a ferry route operated by Moby Lines. Moby Lines operates this particular service throughout the year, and one or two daily departures.
Weekends, Fridays and Mondays generally have two departure times; 15:30 and 22:00 while Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays have just one at 22:00. Peak times of the year have more times added, so it is best to check online, on the Moby Lines website before you book.
Onboard there are facilities to keep everyone occupied, with special focus on the younger generations. For the smaller children there are play areas with plenty of toys and other playthings, and for the harder to keep happy teenagers, there are games rooms, a pizzeria and a cinema, which of course, you can use too. There is a shopping centre onboard as well as a sun deck and lounges.
The more necessary facilities include baby changing facilities and disabled access. Depending which type of ferry you sail on, there are a selection of restaurants and eateries. There’s the pizzeria, a self-service restaurant, an a la carte restaurant, coffee shop, bar and ice cream shop, so whatever you have a craving for, it is almost sure to be served on the ferry.
Moby Lines has a fleet of 14 ships, all extremely well equipped and modern. Passengers will be comfortable and safe on board a Moby Lines ferry, and every effort is made to make sure that everyone is happy and comfortable. If you would like to look at the ship you will be travelling on before you board, virtual tours are available of select ships on the Moby Lines website.
