Minoan Lines runs ferries between Italy and Greece including the Greek Islands. Departure ports from Italy include Ancona, Venice, and Bari and each port services several different destinations on the Greek mainland and the surrounding islands.
From Ancona a ferry runs daily to Patras and Igoumenitsa. The ferry stops at Igoumenitsa, 15 hours away, and then continues on to Patras, 20 hours, 30 minutes away. These crossings are offered on a daily basis each day of the week.
From Venice there are four sailings each week which leave for Patras, and stop at Corfu, Igoumenitsa, and then arrive at Patras. The duration for each stop lasts as follows: Venice to Corfu (21 hours), Venice to Igoumenitsa (21 hours, 30 minutes) and Venice to Patras (28 hours, 30 minutes.)
From Bari the ferry also services daily crossings to Patras, stopping at Corfu and Igoumenitsa. From Bari it takes seven hours to Corfu, nine hours to Igoumenitsa, and 15 hours to Patras. Crossings are available daily each day of the week.
Minoan Lines also provides ferries from Piraeus to Heraklion. The journey for this trip lasts eight hours. An additional ferry service is offered from Heraklion to Thessalonika, leaving daily and has a total time of 23 hours. This service is not offered during low vacation times, however.
Vessels in the Minoan Lines fleet include the Europa Palace which accommodates 1,912 passengers and 821 vehicles; the Olympia Palace which accommodates 1,912 passengers and 821 vehicles; the Ikarus Palace which accommodates 1,500 passengers and 819 vehicles, the Prometheus which accommodates 1,000 passengers and 550 vehicles, the Pasiphae Palace which accommodates 1,500 passengers and 819 vehicles, and the Ariadne Palace which accommodates 1,250 passengers and 505 vehicles.
All vessels have standard services onboard such as dining facilities and duty free shopping. Reservations may be made in advance by visiting Minoan Lines website, or by calling the ticket offices.
