Newhaven Port is located in a small East Sussex town on the south coast of England. Ferries have sailed between Newhaven Port and the French port of Dieppe since 1847, and remain the most leisurely way to travel between London and Paris.

Today, the ferry service between Dieppe and Newhaven Port is handled by LD Lines, a sister company of Transmanche Ferries. An LD Lines vessel named the Seven Sisters makes two or three daily ferry crossings between Newhaven Port and Dieppe from the beginning of May to the end of September.

Newhaven Port also has full wheelchair access throughout its terminal, as well as a wide variety of other amenities for disabled ferry passengers. It is easily accessible by the A259 coastal road, as well as bus and rail services to Folkestone, Dover, Brighton, and other surrounding communities.

The most popular tourist attraction within the town of Newhaven itself is the Newhaven Fort, a converted fort dating back 3,000 years and which now acts as a museum. Visitors are afforded stunning views of the English Channel. Other Newhaven attractions worth visiting for ferry passengers include Tide Mills and Paradise Park, which features a dinosaur museum, model railway, small arcade, and Newhaven Museum. All of these attractions are within walking distance of Newhaven Port, as is the nearby town of Seaford.
