Located in Wexford County, Ireland, Rosslare is a ferry port town that is a major hub fro travellers connecting from Britain and France. Apart from passenger ferries freight ferries and other cargo vessels also utilize Rosslare’s port. Everything from cars to passenger pass through this port in a days time.

There are several ferry routes departing both France and Britain and arriving at Rosslare’s ferry port. It’s quite a simple task accessing the Rosslare ferry port from other areas around Ireland as there are rail and bus routes to the main passenger terminal. Once you’ve arrived at Rosslare’s ferry port, there’s transportation services that connect to an array of accommodations and other tourist interest in the southeast of Ireland.

Getting to and from Rosslare Port is made easy is made easy if arriving from cities such as Waterford, Dublin and Limerick. There is a rail terminus with direct Intercity services to all of these cities. If travelling to Dublin, there are trains running up to four times a day that connect to a number of ferries within the UK.

The passenger terminal at Rosslare’s ferry port is fairly new and equipped with modern facilities. There are a couple of cafés for last minute beverages before boarding the ferry. For those with limited transportation, the ferry port is only a short 15-minute walk from the town centre. There are also several modes of public transportation available from surrounding towns.

There’s a crossing from Rosslare to Fishguard and Pembroke in the UK. Stena Line operates twice a day routes from Fishguard to Rosslare on the Stena Lynx. The trip from Rosslare to Fishguared takes roughly 3 hours, 30 minutes. The Stena Lynx also provides crossing to Cherbourge and Le Havre’s port in France.
