Savona sits on the Mediterranean Sea, in the Italian region of Liguria with the port serving the island of Corsica. The historic town centre is easily reached from the ferry terminal; it is as simple as crossing over the bridge and heading though the marina.
Corsica Ferries operate a daily service to Bastia in Corsica from Savona with sailings at 08:00 and 23:00, with the journey taking between six and eight hours. There are two return journeys every day at 15:30 and 21:00. The journey time is six hours and 10 hours respectively.

Savona ferry port terminal has facilities for passengers including a newsagent, snack and refreshment area, a bank and terraces for panoramic views across the Mediterranean Sea with the waiting lounge being recently refurbished. There are decent facilities on the ferries including air conditioned cabins, restaurants and self service buffets for snacks, shops and boutiques and of course areas to relax either on deck or on board.
The port is easily accessed with the motorway nearby connecting the area to Switzerland, France and Germany as well as the major Italian cities of Rome, Turin and Venice. There is the railway station around 500 metres away and the International airports of Cristoforo Colombo, Nice-Cote d’Azur and Milan Malpenze all less than two hours away.
Although there is no parking facilities at Savona ferry port there are parking facilities nearby for both long term and short term parking. Passengers requiring special requirements are advised to contact the ferry port prior to arrival.
