Scandlines ferry service offers a number of services in the Scandinavian region. They have a large fleet and all ships are well equipped.
Their services include a quick crossing from Helsingor to Helsingborg which takes a mere 20 minutes and runs several times daily. An equally quick crossing is the Esbjerg to Fano route which takes only 12 minutes and again has several crossings daily.
Other routes include Gedser to Rostock in Germany which runs a number of times daily and takes two hours. A ferry runs between Spodsbjerg and Fars several times daily as well as Bojden and Fynshav. Trelleborg to Rostock will take you 5 hours, 45 minutes with three daily sailings, whilst Trelleborg to Sassnitz takes four hours and there are four sailings every day.
The large fleet includes the M/F Deutchsland, a vast vessel which can carry around 900 passengers and 176 cars. Other vessels on the fleet include the Hamlet, which can take 1,000 passengers, the Prins Richards (900 passengers), the Dronning Margrethe II, The Fenja, The Fellow, Frigg, Sydfyen, Holger Danske, Kronprins Frederik, Menja, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Odin Sydfyen.
All ships have good wheelchair access and have once disabled toilets onboard. Friendly staff will also provide assistance with boarding if required however it is best to warn of any requirements when booking.
Onboard facilities of the ships include restaurants, bars, cinemas, lounge areas, duty free shopping, children’s play areas and bureau de changes. Passengers will feel comfortable on any route they choose to travel on.
Each of the ports facilities are also of a high standard with snack bars, restaurants, bars, public payphones, small shops and ATM facilities amongst other things. There is also wheelchair access at all ports and disabled toilets are available as well.
