Trieste Port is located in Italy just north of the Adriatic Sea. It is a stunning Italian city with a spectacular historical international port which has been in operation since 1719. The port has seen extensive renovations over the years, but it still boasts an old-world charm. Ferries depart from Trieste sailing to Greece and Croatia.
The main passenger terminal is called the Stazione Marittima. In here you will find a comfortable departure lounge, toilets and a superb shop that sells food, magazines and alcohol. While waiting for your ferry the departure lounge also has a great Italian coffee shop.
The two main ferry operators that depart from Trieste Port are Ustica Lines and Anek Ferries. Ustica Lines has ferries to Pula in Croatia. During the peak season, Ustica will increase the departures of ferries from Trieste Port to Croatia. During the winter there is less ferries operating. It is advisable to check the website.
Anek Ferries travel from Trieste to Igoumenitsa in Greece. The ferries first stop is at Igoumenitsa and then secondly at Corfu. This ferry departs everyday of the week apart from Thursday. There is one daily sailing at 19:00 Monday to Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 13:00 and on Saturday at 12:00.
The Stazione Marittima passenger terminal is able to accommodate disabled people. The terminal is equipped with wheelchair ramps and disabled toilets. Trieste Port has been fully modernised and it up to international standards. The terminal building is comfortable for all passengers.
At Trieste Port there is short and long-term parking facilities located just in front of the main terminal building. The parking space is safe and reasonably priced. It is recommended when you book you ferry to let the ferry operator know of any special requests prior to your departure.
